Tattoo Aftercare

WHAT TO DO

1. Leave bandage on for at least 1 hour

2. Clean using fragrance free antibacterial hand soap. Work into hands until sudsy then clean with warm water. Do not apply concentrated soap directly to tattoo.

3. Pat with clean paper towel then let air dry.

4. Apply thin layer of ointment as needed throughout the day. If it looks shiny or greasy you have too much on and will need to pat with clean paper towel and work in with your hands.

5. For the first night ONLY, after you clean and apply ointment, rewrap with clean bandage before bed. This keeps from sticking to bed sheets. Make sure tattoo is clean and free from any pet hair before rewrapping. ô. In the morning repeat steps 2-4 and continue to do so for the duration of the tattoos healing process.

IF USING TRANSPARENT FILM BANDAGE

1. Keep film bandage on for 24-48 hours.

2. Make sure bandage is sealed and not leaking. If leaking either apply another piece of bandage or remove it all completely.

3. Remove bandage after 48 hours and clean tattoo with fragrance free antibacterial hand soap.

4. Pat with clean paper towel and let air dry.

5. At this point you can apply another piece of tattoo film for another 5 days.

6. If you choose not to use another bandage you can now, at this time, apply non scented lotion or ointment for duration of tattoo healing.

WHAT NOT TO DO

DO NOT listen to your friends, they are not experts. Contact me directly for

ANY questions or concerns.

DO NOT reuse any bandage

DO NOT clean with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide

DO NOT use petroleum products or Vaseline for your fresh tattoo

DO NOT soak or submerge your fresh tattoo for at least 2 weeks. That means not pools, hot tubs, saunas, baths and especially lakes, ponds or ocean.

DO NOT pick or scratch your fresh tattoo

DO NOT put too much ointment on. If it is shiny or greasy you have too much.

DO NOT tan or leave under direct sunlight

Deposits

A non refundable deposit is required to book tattoo appointments. Deposit will be applied to cost of tattoo day of appointment.

Rescheduling/Cancellation

A minimum of 48 hours is required to cancel or reschedule appointments. Deposits are non refundable but will be forfeited if failure to contact the artist or shop prior to appointment.
